Cycle paths Pilsen - stage 2022

The aim of the project is to complement the system of cycle paths and the GREENWAYS system in Pilsen, which is being built in two sections, and to improve the conditions for commuting of residents to work, schools and services.
The first cycle path will be built in the section Křimice - Malesice, along the Mže River between the road bridge in Křimice towards Malesice. The total length of this section is 1.45 km. The second cycle path is the Bílá Hora section, which converts the cycle route between Plzeň and Zruč into a complete route with a total length of 0.25 km. The total length of both cycle paths is 1.55 km.
The aim is to provide a quality connection between the urban districts and settlements west of Pilsen towards Urban District 1, 3, the municipalities north of Pilsen and the city centre of Pilsen and thus increase the share of cycling in the transport performance.
Main goals
- improving the efficiency of cycling within the Pilsen agglomeration
- improving and speeding up transfers between the city of Pilsen and the catchment settlements
